Mediation

Not every workplace conflict needs a formal investigation. Where the issue is a relationship breakdown rather than a finding of fact, mediation gives both parties a fair, confidential hearing and a path back to working together — or a clear, respectful way to part ways.

What a session looks like

  1. Individual conversations A confidential conversation with each party separately, to understand the issue from both sides and check mediation is appropriate.
  2. Joint session A structured, facilitated conversation between the parties, focused on the issue and on what a workable outcome looks like.
  3. Agreed outcome Where agreement is reached, it's documented in plain language so everyone is clear on what happens next.

When mediation fits

Mediation works best for interpersonal conflict, communication breakdowns, and team dysfunction — situations where the goal is a resolution both parties can live with, rather than a formal finding.
